Calling All Peanut butter Lovers!

Hello Dah-lings!
It's finally FRI-YAY!! You know what that means! Recipe time for our Foodie Friday :) Anywho.....I am addicted to Peanut Butter! I am always thinking of ways to get my fix without going crazy. Luckily, ever since I became a coach with Team Beachbody, I have learned countless ways to incorporate this magical nut butter without any guilt! Today I am going to be sharing the recipe of Peanut Butter Protein Pie adapted from Autumn Calabrese's Fixate cook book! Keep Reading below for the recipe!

If you are anything like me, post workout you are starving and drained! It is important to eat after working out to feed your body and muscles. The pic above is what I ate post workout today. I drank my favorite post workout drink ever, Recover, and had a piece of this PB yumminess! Yes, I did Disney-fy my shaker cup.. Don't judge me! Disney for life! So, without further ado I give you the recipe!

Peanut Butter Protein Pie
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of oat flour
  • 1 cup of vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1/2 cup of almond flour
  • 1/2 tsp of sea salt
  • 1 cup of all natural peanut butter (ingredients should read.. Peanuts and maybe salt, nothing else)
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips
Steps:
  1. Line a round 8 or 8 inch baking pan with parchment paper (foil works too) and set aside.
  1. Pulse in a food processor the protein powder, almond and oat flour, and salt until mixed together.
  1. Add the almond butter and vanilla and keep pulsing until it is crumbly in texture.
  1. Lastly, add the almond milk and pulse until you have a soft dough.
  1. Spread the dough into the prepared pan and press it down so that it is even. You can use a spatula or big flat knife to smooth it down.
  1. Stick it in the freezer until it is firm (about 15 minutes)
  1. Slice it into 16 even "pie" slices.
  1. Melt the dark chocolate per package instructions and drizzle evenly over your PB pie.
  1. Put it back into the freezer so the chocolate hardens and sets.
  1. Enjoy!! Put back into the freezer for storage in an air tight container for up to a week.
I swear it is that easy and tastes like a peanut butter cheesecake! For some reason, it tastes best frozen so don't store it in the fridge ;) Can't find oat or almond flour? No problem! drop some oats in a food processor and pulse until it resembles flour! The same applies to almond flour just be careful because too much pulsing can turn it into almond butter! I find starting with sliced almonds works best! Hope you enjoyed this recipe! Let me know if you try it and what you think! :)
Have a fabulous weekend dolls!

XoXo, Chris

Monday Motivation - Just do it!

Hello beauties!!!

I wanted to start doing motivational posts every Monday. If this is something you don't like let me know below and I will stop lol.. I personally like to start my day with motivational videos, books, podcasts, etc. It helps me get rid of any negative energy and focus my day with positive thoughts.

Here we go! Happy Motivational Monday!

Here's the truth, it's so easy to do the task at hand but it's also much easier to not do it all.
Everyday we are faced with choices. Should I work out now or later? If I have one tiny piece of cake I will be okay. All of these choices over time (depending on your decision) can dictate if you move forward or backwards in terms of your goals. Start doing the "easy to not do" things and pushing yourself through these tasks until you get it done. I promise you a little effort and consistency daily, will make things easier in the long run.
Like this, you won't find yourself having to constantly catch up and double or even triple your work load.
This applies to everything in life, too! Work, relationships, fitness, nutrition, school, even hobbies!
smile emoticon
Nike was on to something with "just do it!". That's really all there is to it! Go do it!

Hope this can change your mindset! Love you all so very much!

Foodie Friday - Hello Fresh Review

Happy Foodie Fri-yay!

I promised this review a few weeks ago but for whatever reason YouTube was not cooperating. I finally got the video to post successfully!!

Quick review of what HelloFresh actually is. It's a food subscription box where you could skip a week before hand. There are different options as to what you get delivered. I picked the regular family box because we eat meat. There is an option to get 2 or 3 meals a week and I decided on 3. Each meal served 4 adults but you can stretch it out to feed more because the portion sizes are pretty large. It runs a little over $100 but if you use this referral code L6R3XJ , you will save $40 making your first order 65$ (for the 3 meal family box) including shipping. Keep reading after the jump to see what I liked and didn't like along with a video showing the meals :)

Colourpop Haul

Happy Beauty Tuesday!

Today I am going to share my latest Colourpop haul with you all.
As you know, I have already tried the Ultra Matte Lip formula and fell in love. They are as good (or even better) than the more expensive brands out there for a fraction of the cost. You can read about my first review here. This time around I wanted to try the new Ultra Satin lips and the Lippie stix. I am so happy I did because I am in love! Lippie stix come in different finishes but, I only purchased a cream in the shade Fiesta and a glossy in the shade Easy. These remind me of Chapstick as far as texture and smoothness but with an opaque pigment to them. I really love these two and will be ordering more now that I know I love them! They also smell really yummy. Think vanilla crossed with a marshmallow!

The ultra satin lips have no fragrance and are very pigmented just like the mattes. They are a bit thicker almost like a cream whereas the mattes are more liquidy. The satin formulation is transferable and will smudge like regular lipstick. However, it is long lasting! The description from colourpop says "our Ultra Satin Lip is a lightweight, bold lipstick with a satin finish and a crazy high percentage of pigments for extra intense color saturation."  Keep reading after the jump to see some swatches!
