I AM ENGAGED!

Somebody PINCH me! On October 24th, 2015 at 4:18 pm I officially became a fiancée. It happened in the most magical place on earth too! Such a sweet moment. I am the happiest girl alive. Keep reading after the jump for the beginning of our new fairytale :)

So, we had this family trip to the food and wine festival at EPCOT planned for a while. Little did I know, so was the proposal! My aunt, uncle, 2 cousins, mom, nephew and of course Cristiano were all there. On Friday we arrived at Disney and had dinner at one of my favorite places, Cape May at the Beach Club Resort. This is the place we go to every time we visit Disney because it is our family tradition. We then went to our hotel room at the art of animation showered, unpacked, and went to sleep to get up early for food and wine. Let me tell you, the parks were MOBBED this weekend and it was a bit annoying to wait in line at each food kiosk for what seemed to be an eternity.. but at least there was a nice yummy reward at the end of the line whether it was an alcoholic beverage or some foreign yummy goodness! We went around the "world". When we arrived in America, my cousin Amanda took my camera and said that she wanted to take a lot of pictures because she loved my camera, little did I know she was capturing the whole thing! As we approached France, Cristiano started telling me all of these sweet things. I honestly thought he wanted something and he was just trying to butter me up! HAHAHA! (I love Paris and everything about it.. I always dreamed of an eiffel tower proposal and Cris knew this.. The French pavilion is also my fave part of the world showcase because I love the restaurants there and the bakery! ) Okay continuing with my story.. Amanda said we should all take pictures by the fountain that disney takes for you since its really pretty. So she and her husband went first. Next, Cris and I were up! We started taking pictures and then out of nowhere he got down on one knee.. GAH!! I KNOW! it was simply MAGICAL. We were in "Paris" in front of the eiffel tower and yet at DISNEY at the same time! It was a dream come true and perfect in every way! The video of the proposal is below with all of Amanda's shouts and cheering. I feel so blessed to have shared this extremely special moment with the people closest to me and my heart and would not have imagined a more perfect engagement. Afterward we had champagne from one of the French kiosks.

Now for some of the funny parts.. So, my mom had the ring so that I would not discover it and when she handed it to Cris apparently he was yelling in a whispered matter for her to take the ring box out of the gift box (I was oblivious to all this at the time). She didn't understand him so as he was proposing the poor guy had to struggle through opening 2 boxes. He also had tried extremely hard to do it at Cinderella's Royal Table and have it brought out in the cutest way. The staff were extremely excited and willing to help him make it extra special. However, they didn't have seating for 9. He also wanted Chef Remy (the rat from Ratatouille) to bring it out from one of my favorite Disney restaurants, Les Chefs France. That was also a no go due to being so packed. In the end, I am glad it happened the way it did just because it was my dream proposal.. but BETTER! Also, my beautiful ears kept falling! It kinda made it cuter though.. or at least that is what I keep telling myself because throughout the park they were fine. Of course, they decide they want to fall during the important part of the day! Thank you for reading about my special day! Now it is time to PLAN away! Enjoy the pictures and actual proposal footage below!

Xo,
Chris
