New month, new goals! Day 1

Happy November 2nd everyone! Okay, so now that the novelty is starting to fade from my engagement (who am I kidding it will never fade hahaha), it is time to get to work! I officially started another round of the 21 day fix extreme today! Good news is, it is on special this month along with the original 21 day fix and my other fave DANCE program CIZE! This time, I am doing the countdown to competition meal plan to really push myself. Keep reading to see how day 1 is going so far. Also, I provide my day 1 meal plan :)

The meal plan for countdown to competition is no joke! I fall under the lowest bracket which means I follow 2 days of 6 protein, 3 veggie, 1 carb, and 3 oil/nutbutter portions. This is followed by one day of the normal extreme container portions which includes fruits, healthy fats, and dressings or seeds. it also has a lower protein allotment. Below is my menu for the day. I used the portion containers to measure everything out.

 I will say, so far so good! I am really full but don't feel like i am going to explode or uncomfortable. It is amazing how eating the RIGHT foods can affect your mood and how you physically feel. I am also upping my water intake! Quick tip.. divide your weight by 2 and that is how much water you should be drinking a day in ounces. Don't try to chug it all in 3 chunks of the day. Sip on water the whole day to make sure your body is always hydrated and you aren't running to the restroom dumping the portions you chugged! Something that is helping me keep on track and stay motivated (other than my wedding of course) is the challenge group I am a part of. This month we are focusing on gratitude! I love how positive I feel already just from one day of keeping plugged into this group with amazing people shooting for the same goals. I feel like I am starting the holiday season on the right foot and will not break down! It really helps keep me accountable.
